The makers of Jatadhara have unveiled the first look of veteran actress Shilpa Shirodkar, sister-in-law of Mahesh Babu, who plays a pivotal character named Shobha. In the striking poster, she is seen draped in a black saree, seated before a sacred fire pit adorned with ritualistic elements like skulls and offerings. The imagery radiates a powerful mystical aura, symbolizing her character’s journey from greed to the dark art of tantra. Shirodkar’s intense presence seamlessly aligns with the supernatural and spiritual tone of the film.
The supernatural mythological thriller recently dropped its teaser, featuring Sudheer Babu and Sonakshi Sinha in what are described as their most transformative roles yet. The teaser has drawn overwhelming response, setting high expectations for an extraordinary cinematic experience.
"A Pan-India bilingual film, Jatadhara promises to reinterpret Indian mythology through a dark, modern lens — blending high-impact visuals, mythic storytelling, and intense performances to create a gripping narrative of cosmic conflict. Directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal, the film positions itself as a truly immersive spectacle," claim makers.
Shilpa Shirodkar, who was last seen in Telugu film Brahma opposite Mohan Babu and Tamil film Arasiyal, is best known for her extensive work in Hindi cinema. Between the 1990s and early 2000s, she appeared in over 30 films including Kishen Kanhaiya, Paap Ki Kamayee, Yodha, and Trinetra, establishing herself as a familiar face across Indian cinema.
