Sanjay Dutt’s Multiple Shades and Scary Ghost in The Raja Saab
This marks the first time the seasoned actor is taking on such a quirky and unconventional role.

Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt, who impressed audiences with his menacing gangster roles in films like KGF and Leo, is reportedly set to essay a fiery ghost in his upcoming Telugu film The Raja Saab. This marks the first time the seasoned actor is taking on such a quirky and unconventional role.
“It is the first time Sanjay Dutt is doing such a ghost character, and he has breathed life into this fictional role,” says a source close to the project. The source adds that while Dutt will be seen in two other avatars befitting his larger-than-life image, it is his ‘ghost’ avatar that is expected to strike a strong chord with Hindi-speaking audiences across the globe. “He worked meticulously on minute details, once again proving his acting prowess,” the source notes.
The insider further states that while Prabhas will impress audiences with his versatility, Sanjay Dutt is likely to emerge as a show-stealer in this wholesome entertainer.
Sanjay Dutt made his Tollywood debut with Double iSmart, where he played a deadly gangster in Puri Jagannadh’s film. Over the years, he has showcased a wide range of shades in Hindi cinema with blockbuster films like Khalnayak, Vaastav, and Munna Bhai MBBS, seamlessly moving from grey to dark and comic roles, establishing his unique style and aura.
Though selective about Telugu projects, Dutt reportedly chose The Raja Saab as it offered him the opportunity to portray different age phases — young, middle-aged, and old — with impactful performances, especially in the flashback episodes.
Producer T.G. Vishwa Prasad, when contacted, confirmed that Sanjay Dutt has delivered a fabulous performance and described him as a major asset to the Rs 300-crore project. “It was great working with Sanjay Dutt who is a versatile actor. He would be seen as ghost and I can't reveal more at this stage,” he said
