Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga on Monday penned a heartfelt note as his path-breaking film Arjun Reddy completed eight years.
Taking to Instagram, Vanga recalled how the Vijay Deverakonda–Shalini Pandey starrer changed his life forever. “Eight years ago, Arjun Reddy changed my life. What started as a story close to my heart became a movement, only because of your love and relentless support,” he wrote, adding his gratitude to the cast, crew, and audiences who continue to celebrate the film.

Released in 2017, Arjun Reddy emerged as a cult hit, drawing both acclaim and criticism—praised for its raw storytelling yet criticized by sections for allegedly glorifying misogyny and substance abuse.
After its success, Vanga remade the film in Hindi as Kabir Singh and later directed Ranbir Kapoor’s blockbuster Animal. He is now gearing up to helm Spirit with Prabhas in the lead.
