Bengaluru: Bigg Boss Kannada 12 contestant and actress Ashwini Gowda has said actor Darshan would be a "good choice" if he decides to enter politics.
Speaking to regional media, Ashwini was asked who from the Kannada film industry could follow the path of actor C. Joseph Vijay, who has now become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Ashwini named Darshan to be an apt choice.
"Cinema and politics are different. If someone from the film industry has the interest and is willing to leave everything behind to enter politics, they should do it. I feel Darshan would be a good choice if he enters politics. I wish him all the best," she said.
Ashwini also praised Kannada activist T. Narayana Gowda, saying he was among the leaders who had dedicated their lives to protecting Karnataka's land, language and culture.
Asked whether she herself planned to contest the 2028 Assembly elections, Ashwini said it was too early to make such a decision.
"People often ask whether I will join a political party and which party I will choose. Everything has its own time. If I am given an opportunity one day, I will take a decision then," she said.
The actress also spoke about fellow Bigg Boss Kannada 12 contestant Gilli, saying there was no ill will despite their rivalry on the show.
"I genuinely wish him well. Bigg Boss was just a game. Why should I be upset that he won? I hope he has a bright future and acts in many good films," she said.
