What's bugging VKP?

The director says that this category is not getting any importance among the public.

V.K. Prakash, the director of Asif Ali-starrer Nirnayakam, which recently bagged the national award for best film on other social issues, is very delighted to receive his second national award. But the director says that this category is not getting any importance among the public. “I am really happy to know that Nirnayakam is adjudged as the best film on other social issues category. At the same time, it is sad to understand that no one knows the importance of this category. Along with the best film, the awards for best films on national integration, other social issues and environment conservation are selected from different entries from different languages. Fortunately, this year, two of those awards were bagged by Malayalam. But it’s sad that when even regional awards get much importance in discussion space and certain media, these award winners are being neglected.”
