The title race first had Real Star Upendra using a Swastik symbol, Oum, and later ‘Z’ hit the screens. Even Kannada alphabets like ‘Ka’, numerals and punctuations became movie titles. The latest is ‘E1’ — the amalgamation of the Kannada alphabet, directed by AR Ramesh in which he is the protagonist with seven female lead characters and the film is produced by nine producers!

In an attempt to showcase another important facet of his life, his better-half — Mrs Rama Bai, a movie titled Smt Rama Bai is set to release on the 125th birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar on April 14. The talented Yajna Shetty plays Rama Bai and Siddaram Karnik plays the role of Dr BR Ambedkar.
‘Hasya Maharaja’ for Ugadi
Comedian-turned-hero Sharan, who is on a roll with back-to-back successes is being fondly called Sandalwood’s Hasya Maharaja! He is now all set to repeat his comic success with Jai Maruthi 800. The film releases on Ugadi and it is directed by choreographer-turned-director A Harsha of Bhajarangi and Vajrakaya fame, starring Shruthi Hariharan, Shubha Poonja and others.
