Stars shine bright on local actress
Seems like it is not just the popular Kannada TV artistes who are in huge demand for their talents by Telugu television industry. It appears that even Tollywood is smitten by Kannada actresses. The sensational Rashmika Mandanna, who is basking in the glory of her recent successes including the mega hit Geetha Govindam, and later bagging big star projects. Now, another Kannada actress is in the limelight for her performance in Nannu Dochukunduvate opposite Sudheer Babu. And, now even before her Telugu debut movie hit the screens last week, there are reports that the actress Nabha Natesh has signed yet another project featuring the popular star actor in Telugu, Ravi Teja.
While she is on the verge of signing one more film, the actress caught up with Bengaluru Chronicle as she talks about her Tollywood journey, and her desire to do a good content oriented movie back in Kannada.
“Though I started off with Adhugo in Telugu, a film about a piglet which is under the post production for extensive graphics work, Nannu Dochukunduvate got released first and the response to it has been great. It is my debut and everyone in Tollywood is talking about my performance, which makes it even special,” says Nabha Natesh.
She goes on to add, saying that after the release of her movie, which is a hit now along with good reviews, her performance has been appreciated by several in the industry. “I recently met the legendary director Raghavendra Rao garu. It seemed like a dream for me to get complimented by none other than the legend by himself, and I had to pinch myself to ensure that it really happened,” says the actress who even shared the moment on her Instagram account, adding that the director was very happy to know that Nabha was the lone actor from her family and blessed her with great future in films.
While the actress is yet to confirm on her next big break, it is learnt from reliable sources that she has signed her next where she is paired opposite Tollywood star Ravi Teja. She plays the female lead in his action entertainer which is being directed Vi Anand and produced by Ram Talluri.
“I will soon announce something big, and I am also on the verge of signing one more. I am getting several good offers in Telugu, and the attention I am getting is quite exciting, as it was during my debut Kannada movie Vajrakaya. Talking about my next Kannada movie, I do not want to rush into it. I am determined to do a good content oriented movie in Kannada. My mantra has been simple, which is to do good projects or do nothing,” she says.
The actress who is also getting a lot of calls from the Tamil industry, adds that she has just found a foothold in the industry and wants to concentrate on doing good work in both Kannada and Telugu before taking up projects in other languages.
The actress signs off by saying that apart from all her busy film activities, she has picked up the knack of learning different languages. “Though I am fluent with Telugu, I am yet to dub in my own voice as I still need to refine my dialect skills. Further, I am busy with my dance practise. This has been my first love ever since my childhood. I love dancing even while chilling at home,” she adds.
