Rowdy has taken supari to kill me, claims Sandalwood actor Arjun Dev

BENGALURU: A Sandalwood actor, who is also a Congress worker, has sought protection from the police against a rowdy who he said has taken supari to eliminate him.

Actor Arjun Dev has complained to the Byatarayanapura police that rowdy Kashif has taken the supari from some unknown person to kill him. Arjun said that he was informed about the supari by one of his well-wishers on Friday who told him that rowdy Kashif from Islampura had taken supari and even did a recce of the area near the actor’s house.

The Byatarayanapura police initially took up a non-cognisable report (NCR), but later after a court issued directions to the police to book the case under IPC Section 506 (criminal intimidation). The court also asked the police for a detailed probe.

Following the court’s directions, the police have filed an FIR and are investigating. Arjun acted in the lead role in Yugapurusha, a Kannada movie released recently. He was also Deepanjali Nagar Block Congress president.
