Praveen Tej’s next big stop

Praveen Tej’s next seems to be promising venture which has challenged the actor both physically and emotionally.

After back to back critically acclaimed performances in Choorikatte and then in Striker, actor Praveen Tej is back with yet another promising venture – Mundina Nildana, which means next destination. Directed by Vinay Bharadwaj, the movie which was launched a year ago, is releasing next week on November 29. From seven different music composers working for this project to several noted technicians from Bollywood, the movie has high expectations after Academy Award Winning Composer A R Rahman himself appreciated one of the compositions scored in the movie by Jim Satya, who has also worked on the background score too.

The trailer which released on Monday has been trending on top at national level. The actor shares his ‘destination’ ahead and more.

“I could not have asked for more after Choorikatte and Striker, both of which were different from each other. I feel lucky to have worked with amazing new talents ever since Simplwaag Innondh Love Story. Be it the content and making, the new filmmakers are delivering their best and I am glad to have been approached for such exciting projects. In Mundina Nildana, it was challenging in many ways, from physical transformations to playing the role of a person between 26 years to a 32-year-old in four different shades,” says Praveen Tej.

He further explains that he dedicated four months entirely to look perfect for the role. “It was really well planned. During pre-production, I worked on my body with strict diet and workouts. Later, it was the appearance of the character. More than the physical appearance, it was the emotional part. It is challenging to play a person in four different ages in a single schedule,” he adds.

On the technicalities, the actor shares that film has seven music composers apart from some great technicians such as Ajay Kumar P B, a noted personality in the Indian Cinema, who has done sound designing, mixing and then Jim Satya, who has worked in several Bollywood movies, has scored the background and well as a song, which Rahman sir himself tweeted about. Whereas, the digital part of the post production relating to colour, VFX and so on were done at Red Chillies, he says.

A different kind of journey, as the makers say, Mundina Nildana also features Radhika Narayanan, Ananya Kashyap, Dattanna and others in the lead.
