The talented Miss Hurry'haran
It’s raining ‘films’ for the beautiful actress Sruthi Hariharan with five films ready to release, and three new films along with the recent success of Beautiful Manasugalu. Apart from the untitled project starring Challenging Star Darshan who is also directing Milana Prakash, Sruthi Hariharan, will be seen in a political satire — Humble Politician Nograj as well. “As an actor, I have had the luck and opportunity to be a part of Kannada cinema that does not stick to the usual conventional subjects. We have been experimenting even in terms of the genres. One such film which pushes the envelope is the political satire Kanglish,” says Sruthi.
The actress reveals that she plays an ambitious and smart wife to Roger Narayanan. The film humourously talks about politics with a different perspective. Sruthi is also working alongside RJ-turned-actor Danish Sait, and Saad Khan. “Over the years, I have been an audience to the “improv” they do (a theatrical comedy presentation ) but never once attempted it as a part of my acting process. It requires one to be spontaneous, witty and yet remember the context of the scene. It definitely is a challenge for someone like me who is probably a pure director’s actor!,” Sruthi says.
Urvi, Happy New Year, Arya Mourya (where she stars with Sanchari Vijay), Nibunan/Vismaya (Tamil- Kannada bilingual where she stars with Arjun Sarja) and Upendra Matte Baa, are ready for release. Sruthi is also working on the film Milana Prakash with Darshan and looking forward to its release. There is the film Tesla (another film with a single female protagonist — a sci-fi thriller in Kannada) that is keeping the lass in film heaven.
