Released in the late 1980’s, Nanjundi Kalyana starring Raghavendra Rajkumar and Malashree is one of the most successful films in Sandalwood’s history. The song Olage Seridare Gundu... featuring Malashree is also a milestone. While the trend continues of making use of the title of popular films from the past, Rajendra Karanth’s latest directorial Nanjundi Kalyana features Tanush of Madamakki fame and Shravya Rao in the lead. The latest one is a full on comedy, though it has nothing in common with the original film, says the team.
HUMBLE POLITICIAN NOGRAJ
Radio jockey-turned-actor Danish Sait’s humble film titled Humble Politician Nograj is inching towards its release. Directed by Saad Khan, the film is produced by Rakshit Shetty, Pushkar and Hemanth Rao. A political satire, the film features Danish Sait in the unique role of an aspiring politician with Roger Narayan and Sruthi Hariharan in the lead. Comedian Vijay Chendur will also be seen in a different avatar. The humble politician will tentatively hit the screens in the first week of October.
GOWDRU HOTEL SERVES AUDIO
The audio of the film Gowdru Hotel is out. With this film, the composer, Yuvan Shankar Raja makes his debut in the Kannada industry. A remake of the Malayalam hit film Ustad Hotel, this movie stars newcomer Rachan Chandra along with the pretty Vedhika and senior actor Anant Nag and Prakash Rai in the lead. Directed by Pon Kumar, Gowdru Hotel is ready to serve an entertaining feast for the audience.
