Simplicity in sessions
I vouch by the term commitment. For me, fitness and being healthy is directly related to how persistent you are to hit the gym or do some form of physical activity. So, for me, it’s about being regular and persistent and not missing a single workout session, no matter how hectic the day is.
I’m more of a gym person. But beyond mere weight lifting, I prefer simple core strengthening exercises coupled with a good amount of push-ups and pull-ups. I think it’s best to start with something simple that you can stick to, everyday!
While I don’t follow fad diets, I avoid rice and make sure to have protein rich foods. So, it’s boiled eggs, grilled fish and chicken for me. Also, I keep myself hydrated with at least three litres of water daily. I don’t believe in protein shakes and like to keep my diet simple and nutritious.
It’s important to find out what form of exercise best suits you. Whenever I start with a new form of workout, I ensure I keep at it for at least three months, because that’s the minimum period you need to invest in, for the results to show.
I also believe fitness is a combination of healthy — body and mind, so I like to indulge in relaxation activities from time to time, to keep my mind equally fit and rejuvenated.
