Super duper achiever!

This talented Sandalwood star has two back-to-back releases lined up. She also is basking in the glory of Bell Bottom’s success.

Two years of hard work and dedication has put her in prime position in Sandalwood. Actress Hariprriya, who apart from being the busiest star at present, has delivered back-to-back successes with many more lined up for release this year. After her recent film Bell Bottom (which is inching towards 100 days at the box office), she is returning with two releases, first being Soojidhara followed by D/o Parvathamma. The best part of her journey so far has been the versatility in the kind of roles Hariprriya has portrayed. Her performances continues to charm her die-hard fans who keep pushing her to take up challenging acts. Hariprriya speaks to Bengaluru Chronicle about the reasons behind the success of her films including her short breaks from work,(which she took to recharge her batteries) and more in this candid chat.

“I have been shooting for multiple projects, at least a dozen of them since the two years. Some of them have released with good appreciation for my work. It’s quite an exciting phase in my career which has come after a lot of hard work. I have been specially blessed with good opportunities which are different from each other. I started off on a good note in 2018 with my Telugu film Jayasimha and this year my Kannada film Bell Bottom, is inching towards 100 days even as my other films are gearing up for release,” says Hariprriya.

It is the versatility of her roles which has been the hallmark of Hariprriya’s career so far, which was further boosted with her impressive act in Ugramm. Ever since Ugramm, she has not looked back, to which she says that it is a dream come true for any artiste to get such opportunities to work. “From makers to writers, they have all reposed faith in me. This has been the major difference unlike others. I have played multiple characters in such a short span of time. In the past, veteran stars such as Malashree madam’s film would be screened in most of the theatres, as she would be playing a variety of roles in various films. I’m glad that it has not been monotonous and the industry has not typecasted me,” she says.

Speaking further about her career, Hariprriya says, “In Bell Bottom, it was a retro role, and I am playing a different character in Soojidhara which has earned more than five lakhs views for its trailer on the social media, and in D/o Parvathamma, I play a special investigative officer. Right now, I am busy with the promotion of my movie even as I am listening to different kind of scripts. I just do not want my new projects to take over the new releases,’ the actress says.

While work keeps her busy round the clock, Hariprriya shares that she makes sure to take intervals between her work to rejuvenate herself in order return with more energy and enthusiasm.

“Work and family are always my main priority. I love travelling and I am always with my family to spend some quality time during such breaks. I even take my pets and make sure to book resorts which allows pets. If not travelling, I play my favourite sport which is badminton and go on a long bicycle ride,” she signs off.
