A director's special story!

In totality, Eradanesala, is the simplest form of entertainment with love.

The master of suspense — Alfred Hitchcock once said that in order to make a great film you need three things — the script, the script and the script! While such is the power of the written word, it also depends on the creative spirit of a director, and the magical experience on the big screen.

Guru Prasad’s familiar work in Eradanesala closely reminds one of one of the basic principles of filmmaking. In totality, Eradanesala, is the simplest form of entertainment with love. When it gains pace, it elevates itself to another level giving one an emotionally abundant journey.

The plot revolves around two characters with frequent interventions from someone else. No, it’s not the regular love triangle. At times, when filmmakers and composers are accused of plagiarism in movies, Guru Prasad like always, sticks to his original gun, firing at will and miraculously hitting the target in the end. It caters to all who seek fun, entertainment, in addition to a director’s sensible message before he wraps the wonderful tale on a high.

The movie is a roller coaster ride. A mother (widow) tells her only child, a son not to fall in love with a girl who is coming to stay with them for her education. And a human’s inherent nature against diktats is put to test. Ultimately love prevails. In a nutshell, this is Eradanesala. As always, there is a larger picture that unfolds.

Mocking at formula-based films, and even smartly mimicking a few popular characters and random scenes (which are irrelevant at times), the one-liners and extra punchlines make the film fun.

It cuts through beautifully composed songs, especially one about a mother which is really heart touching. Coming to the brilliant performances, the magician — Lakshmi is at her motherly best, and Dhananjay and Sangeetha Bhat, as lovers make the audience fall in love with their onscreen chemistry. It will certainly pep up their future prospects.

Before summing it up, apart from the occasional irritating camera work, and a couple of unwanted elements, Guru Prasad reclaims his position as a talented director, and even Dhananjay and Sangeetha, who have been both looking for that magical break in their careers, have done a pretty good job. Do take your mother to watch this one.
