Apart from being a commercial success, Kendasampige was one of Duniya Suri’s finest. It earned him critical appreciation, running for more than 100 days — a rarity in the recent times. It also churned out two fine young talents.

One of these male protagonists was earlier assisting both Suri and Yogaraj Bhat in the direction department! As many started to wonder about Vicky Varun post Kendasampige, he is now set to return after an year long hunt for that perfect script. His new venture is being directed by Santhu of Alemari fame, and apart from playing the lead Vicky is also working on the screenplay.

“After Kendasampige, I decided to wait for a good subject. I heard more than 20 scripts and finally I came across one with good content. Though, I would not call it a spectacular one, but I have the confidence that it will satisfy the present audiences who are watching movies based on its content. The movie is an entertainer with a different presentation. I will be seen in a total new look with a complete change  from my first movie,” says Vicky Varun.

He adds that he was not prepared when he had to face the camera for Kendasampige. “I had no idea who was being cast in the film until Suri sir informed me that I am one of the actors in it. After such recognition, the second venture becomes very important. So I took some time hunting for a good script, then working on the characterisation along with my presence to portray it on the screen,” he says.

Following some confusion over his name after being introduced as Vicky in Kendasampige, and many still identifying him with his birth name Santosh, he has now decided to stick to a permanent one as Vicky Varun. His second venture will be launched shortly.
