Known for being a ‘big mouth’, the versatile film maker Ram Gopal Varma, has this time put his life on the line! During the launch of Rai amidst 50,000 odd Muthappa Rai followers, RGV said that he will deliver his best by bringing the life of former gangster Muthappa Rai on to the silver screen. Not just that, the director also promised that it will be at his best and after making the film, that he will first show it to Muthappa Rai, and if it is not good enough, Rai can return to his “previous (gangster) avatar” for a while and shoot him with a gun!
Starring Vivek Oberoi who is playing the former gangster on big screen, Rai is being made at a whooping budget of more than Rs 55 crore. Further, RGV also claimed that Muthappa Rai, who started with Rs 30 in his pocket, and after a 30 year criminal career, is today worth Rs 30,000 crores! Yes, you read that right! He even goes on to add that he is the only gangster (now former) in the world including D-Company and the American Mafia who proved crime actually pays.
RGV certainly knows one thing right – how to launch a film. Well, about proper landing, films like RGV ki Aag is a classic example!
