Lyricist Sameer Anjaan Launches Music Label; Sajid Ali Khan Highlights AI Influence

Samayra Creations alongwith Bollywood's legendary lyricist, Sameer Anjaan has launched a new music label, introducing a bouquet of budding talents into the music industry. The launch took place in the presence of iconic singers such as Sajid Ali Khan (of Sajid-Wajid fame), Mamta Sharma, Kunal Ganjawala, and Sukhwinder Singh.
During the launch, musician Sajid Ali Khan, talked about the impact of Artificial Intelligence in the music industry. He highlighted the changing dynamics of the music industry, while pointing out how success can sometimes lead to role reversals, with newer artists questioning the methods of experienced musicians.
“It’s like they’re trying to rewrite history or prove they’re the new talented lot. As these newer talents, who may have learned from the icons, start judging them. The true talent still continues to evolve, and respect should go both ways. The rise of AI and shortcuts is also a concern, making artists feel diminished. Through this platform, we are encouraging experienced musicians to reclaim their space and share their knowledge.”
Speaking about joining hands with legendary lyricist Sameer Anjaan for the new label, Sajid said, “When Sameer Bhai took that step, I felt people discovered him a bit late. But I’m grateful they eventually recognized his value. It’s better late than never. It’s great to see Sameer Ji start this platform, where we will readily do whatever he asks. I am promoting the vision of my brother Wajid and trying to educate new entrants so their creativity excels in today’s AI-driven times. With AI, people are becoming more critical, and maybe that’s needed, but respect for legends with traditional values and knowledge should always remain.”
Meanwhile, Sameer Anjaan revealed that Kunal Ganjawala and Sukhwinder Singh will soon lend their voices to his new music label.
“My favourite song, which is also Salman Khan’s favourite, 'Dil Keh Raha Hai Teri Dhadkan Ko Chun Lun,' this melodious number will be sung again by the original singer, Kunal Ganjawala.”
Speaking about Sukhwinder Singh, he added with a smile, “Sukhwinder will also sing a song for me. It’s not easy to make him sing, but I know he will do anything for me.”
