Samantha to Team Up With Tamil Star Simbu?
The buzz around Samantha Ruth Prabhu's potential role in the Tamil film Arasan is growing, with industry insiders confirming that discussions are underway. The film, which features Silambarasan in the lead, is directed by Vetrimaaran, celebrated for his intense and gripping films. Samantha is reportedly weighing her choices before making a commitment.
If industry sources are to be believed, leading actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is in talks for a big-ticket Tamil film titled Arasan. The actress has reportedly been offered the female lead role in this hard-hitting action drama, which is said to feature Tamil star Silambarasan (Simbu) in the lead.
“Talks are on with the makers, but nothing has been finalised yet,” a source revealed. The film is being directed by acclaimed filmmaker Vetrimaaran, known for critically acclaimed hits such as Visaranai and Asuran. “Samantha holds the director in high regard, but she is currently weighing her options,” the source added.
Meanwhile, Samantha has returned to work following her marriage to Raj Nidimoru. The teaser of her upcoming Telugu film Maa Inti Bangaram has already generated considerable buzz. “She plays an author-backed role of a housewife with a mysterious past,” the source said.
Interestingly, Samantha made her Tamil debut with Baana Kaathadi and went on to work with several leading Kollywood stars, including Vijay (Theri, Kaththi), Vikram (10 Endrathukulla), and Suriya (Anjaan). However, it was Ye Maaya Chesave that established her as a top actress in Tollywood, where she went on to rule the roost.
