When Samantha was unwell due to an autoimmune disorder-induced sickness, the Andala Rakshasi actor stood by her side. She took care of her like a family member from morning to evening. Recalling that phase, the Rangasthalam actor said that she can't give a name to their relationship. "Is he a brother? Is he a friend? Is he a family member? I can't give a name," the Majili actress said. Rahul is more than a blood relation to Sam.
In the past, Rahul defended Samantha over criticism by a doctor against promoting a particular treatment. "She may not be a medical expert, but she diligently researches treatments before trying them," Rahul said.
Rahul Ravindran is currently directing The Girlfriend with Rashmika Mandanna as the protagonist. Samantha is producing Subham, a horror-comedy that hits the cinemas on May 9.
