Shikara fame Sadia Khateeb Joins John Abraham as the leading lady in his next action thriller The Diplomat

After making a powerful debut in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Shikara (2020), Sadia Khateeb is set to take on her most impactful role yet in The Diplomat, a high-stakes political thriller led by John Abraham. Directed by Shivam Nair and written by Ritesh Shah, the film is inspired by real events that shaped India’s global diplomacy.
Expressing her excitement about the project, Sadia shared, “Being part of The Diplomat is an incredible opportunity. Working alongside John Abraham and such a talented team has been a wonderful experience. My director Shivam was a dream to work with. The role challenged me in ways I never expected, and I can’t wait for the audience to see it.”
Sadia, who won hearts with her performance in Shikara and later appeared in Raksha Bandhan and got great critic review for her work in Raksha Bandhan is stepping into a more intense and commanding space with this film. As The Diplomat revolves around a crucial mission where “diplomacy wins where weapons fail,” her role is shoruded in mystery in the first teaser that dropped.
