Rashmika Mandanna Faces Backlash For ‘Animal’ Remark

Popular actress Rashmika Mandanna has once again found herself at the receiving end of social media trolling. After previously being criticised for her no-smoking stance and for calling Hyderabad her home, Rashmika’s recent comments about 'Animal' movie have stirred fresh controversy.

Rashmika, who earned praise for her performance in the Ranbir Kapoor–Sandeep Reddy Vanga film Animal, sparked debate when she said she wouldn’t mind being with a man who shared character traits similar to Ranbir Kapoor’s role in the film.

Speaking on a talk show, Rashmika explained:“I truly believe that if you love someone and someone loves you, the changes will happen.” When the host and audience pushed back, suggesting people don’t really change, she elaborated:“I said that statement because, for example, when you grow up with your partner or someone from a younger age, you're still forming your personality. You’re still figuring out what you like and what you don’t. And when you grow up together, you remember your best friend or partner being a certain way a decade earlier, and then you see the person they are today.”

However, many netizens were unconvinced and lashed out at the actress online. One social media user wrote, “This woman should not open her mouth. It's clear her head is empty. The more she talks and acts, the more I dislike her. Now I get why people from her home state despise her.”

Another commented, “Rashmika pretends to be an intellect. But she’s the real definition of a bimbo. She just pukes whatever she knows. Alia was trolled so much for being dumb, but how does Rashmika get a pass?”

Some trolls dragged in her rumoured boyfriend, actor Vijay Deverakonda, with one post reading, “She and her bf should keep their mouths shut tbh for our sanity. Even Animal retarded fandom can’t defend this.” Another added, “It’s embarrassing to see a grown woman say this. Also, she and her bf VJD should really stop giving unscripted interviews because whenever they speak, they end up sounding extremely stupid.”

Despite the harsh criticism, Rashmika hasn’t publicly responded to the trolling so far.
