Randeep Hooda Opens Up On Defending Alia, Calling Kangana "Occassional Actor"

He also addressed his 2019 tweet where the actor was seen defending Alia Bhat and had indirectly referred to Kanagana as an "Occasional Actor".

With the release of Jaat Movie, Randeep Hooda is getting praised from viewers as well as critics for his character, Varadaraja Ranatunga.

In a recent interview with Shubhankar Mishra, Hooda spoke about his bond with fellow actress Kangna Ranaut. He also addressed his 2019 tweet where the actor was seen defending Alia Bhat and had indirectly referred to Kanagana as an "Occasional Actor".
When the interviewer asked about his bond with Kangana. Randeep said they are friendly but not close. He said they've worked together in a couple of films, they are not very close but they do speak on an occasional basis.
During the release of Gully Boy in 2019, Kangana taunted Alia by calling her acting "mediocre" on Twitter (Now X).
Meanwhile, Randeep also tweeted in Alia's defence but did not take anyone's name. The tweet read, "Dearest @aliaa08, I'm so glad you are not letting the opinions of very occasional actors and chronic victims affect you and your work. Kudos to you for your continued efforts to outdo yourself."
After the tweet was read by netizens, most of them believed it was directed at kangana.
However, In the interview Randeep confirmed it and disclosed, "Because she was really targeting Alia. I had no enmity with Kangana, then or now. But because of Highway, I have a special attachment for the young Alia. Whether she feels the same or not, I don't know, but I have that attachment to Dheera."
"I don’t like it when people put others down just to blow their own trumpet. I don’t do that, and I don’t like it. I’ve also faced a lot of unfairness, but you have to swallow it and maintain your dignity. When I felt that it was going too far in the conversation, I tweeted. Kangana is a very good actor – these things don’t suit her," he added.
Randeep Hooda played an antagonist role in the action-thriller movie 'Jaat,' directed by Gopichand Malineni. He was seen alongside Sunny Deol, Vineet Kumar Singh, Regina Cassandra and Saiyami Kher.
In his next project, Hooda will be seen in an Hollywood action-thriller 'Matchbox,' alongside John Cena.
