Ram Pothineni To Headline Supernatural Thriller?

In an exciting development for Telugu cinema, actor Ram Pothineni is reportedly in advanced talks to headline a grand supernatural thriller produced by Arka Media Works, the banner behind the globally acclaimed Baahubali franchise.

According to industry sources, the yet-to-be-titled project will be directed by young filmmaker Kishore and is expected to go on floors later this year. “Arka Media Works, known for its diverse and ambitious productions, is now venturing into the supernatural thriller space with a large-scale, period-based narrative that blends elements of black magic and mystical forces. The film aims to combine epic storytelling with contemporary sensibilities, tapping into the growing trend of supernatural themes in Tollywood,” reveals the source.

The project, which was initially planned to commence earlier, faced delays due to casting challenges. Earlier, Naga Chaitanya was reportedly considered for the lead role but scheduling conflicts forced the team to look elsewhere, paving the way for Ram Pothineni’s potential involvement. If finalized, this film would mark Ram’s first collaboration with Arka Media Works and could represent a striking departure from his recent commercial entertainers.

For Arka Media Works, whose impressive portfolio includes Vedam, Maryada Ramana, Anaganaga O Dheerudu, and Panjaa, this venture signals a creative shift after the monumental success of Baahubali elevated them to international prominence.
