Progressive Panel Vows To Fulfil Promises in Producers Council

Producer Ravi Shankar Yellamanchili has assured Telugu film producers that the Progressive Panel will fulfil all the promises made in its manifesto if elected to the Telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC).

“On behalf of our Progressive Panel, we assure you that we will fulfil all the welfare measures and producer-friendly initiatives promised in our manifesto,” Ravi Shankar said at a press conference. He described the Telugu Film Producers Council as the apex body representing producers and urged members to vote for the Progressive Panel.

“We will always stand by producers. The success of Irumudi and the fact that Telugu cinema has been doing well over the last few months are encouraging signs,” he said. He added that the panel would work towards making film production a hassle-free process and would support small films. “Out of around 180 small films distributed by our Mythri Movie Makers, 150 were small movies and we will continue our support,” he said.

The panel also promised to assist producers with content development and technical quality. “We will have a committee to help producers with content and technical aspects and work towards a thriving Tollywood,” he said.

Veteran producer Damodar Prasad said the panel would earmark a Rs 50 lakh fund for emergency and medical claims to support producers during difficult times.

Prasad also assured that associate producers would be brought into the council. “Around 300 associate producers will be taken into the council if we come to power. We will regularise their membership through a one-time payment,” he said.

The Progressive Panel also promised to introduce a single-window helpline for new producers. “We will create a help desk to assist producers with agreements and the process of making a film. Our desk will support them throughout,” he said.

He further announced plans for content facilitation, with experienced producers guiding newcomers in developing their projects. Women’s protection at shooting locations was also highlighted as a key priority. “The producer is responsible for the entire unit, so ensuring women’s safety at shooting spots is important. We will safeguard women at work and extend further support wherever required,” he said.

Damodar Prasad also stressed the need for a cordial relationship between producers and the Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation. “We want to maintain a cordial relationship with all 24 crafts. We will advise producers to strictly follow the guidelines and ensure a healthy relationship with cine workers through our help desk,” he said.

He concluded by promising a transparent and supportive Telugu Film Producers Council. “We may belong to different castes and creeds, but once we make a film, we become one community. We have to remain neutral and treat everyone equally without any bias,” he said.

Finaly, Mana Panel will take on Progressive Panel in Telugu Film Producers Council elections to be held on September 6.
