Tollywood Strike: Cine Workers Gherao Film Chamber Premises During Talks
The Telugu Film Employees Federation has decided to go on a strike from Monday over pending wage revisions, which would force a shutdown of shooting activities

Hundreds of cine workers belonging to Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation gheraoed the film chamber premises on Monday.While top producers like Suresh Babu, Dil Raju, Ravi Shankar, Ram Achanta and C Kalyan entered the premises.
Shouting slogans urging producers to hike wages by 30 percent for working in Telugu films, Telugu web series and also for non-Telugu movies being shot in Telugu states.
Earlier, the Telugu Film Employees Federation has decided to go on a strike from Monday over pending wage revisions, which would force a shutdown of shooting activities.
“Producers have formed a 5-member committee to negotiate with members of federation and are looking to resolve this wage issue,” says a source
He claims that big ticket movies like Prabhas ‘The Raja Saab’, ‘Ram Charan’s ‘PEDDI’, Jr NTR’s ‘Dragon’, Prabhas ‘Fauji’, Chiranjeevi film with Anil Ravipudi and Balakrishna ‘Akhanda 2’ along with Nani’s The Paradise’ and Adivi Sesh’s ‘Dacoit’ among others which are at various stages of production.
“Producers are determined to resolve this crisis since it would be difficult to rearrange actors' dates and locations and would prefer a smooth sailing resolution to wage hike issues,” he adds.
