Prabhas Hails Hombale Films’ Commitment to Quality
Prabhas has officially signed a three-film deal with Hombale Films, the powerhouse studio behind blockbusters like K.G.F, Kantara, and Salaar.

Pan-India superstar Prabhas has officially signed a three-film deal with Hombale Films, the powerhouse studio behind blockbusters like K.G.F, Kantara, and Salaar. This marks a significant move in the Telugu film industry, as Prabhas becomes one of the first major Telugu stars to ink such a multi-film agreement with a single production house.
Recalling a pivotal moment from the making of K.G.F, Prabhas said,“There’s one moment I remember clearly. It was Prashanth Neel’s first film with Hombale and just his second overall. The set caught fire, and the budget was already tight. Everyone was tense, but Vijay sir simply said, ‘Relax, don’t worry about the money — get the product right.’ That stuck with me.”
He added that stories from the sets of Kantara and other Hombale projects reaffirmed his belief that the studio places uncompromised quality above all else. “Vijay sir always tells the technicians, ‘Quality is most important for my films.’ That’s why I wanted to work with them — they never compromise on quality,” Prabhas remarked.
Hombale Films has steadily built a reputation for elevating cinematic standards by blending high-octane spectacles with deeply rooted Indian narratives. Their K.G.F franchise, directed by Prashanth Neel and starring Yash, redefined mass cinema and reportedly grossed around ₹1500 crore globally. The studio followed it up with Kantara, a folklore-inspired hit, and the Prabhas-starrer Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire.
A leading Telugu director, speaking on condition of anonymity, weighed in on the deal’s significance: “Prabhas is one of the few top Telugu stars to sign a 3-film deal with a single banner. It sets a precedent of sorts. He trusts Hombale’s vision and wouldn’t commit unless he was fully confident. It’ll be interesting to see how they space out these projects without clashing with his ongoing commitments in Tollywood.”
With Kalki and Salaar already raising the stakes in Indian cinema, fans are eager to see what this Prabhas–Hombale collaboration will bring next. One thing is certain — the bar has just been raised again.
