Several scenes with poor VFX, including horse-riding sequences, a comedy scene involving a wolf, and a flashback scene, have been removed to improve Hari Hara Veera Mallu's quality.
This reduced the movie's runtime by approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Director AM Jyothi Krishna noted that the film used 4,399 CGI shots, just below Brahmastra’s 4,500.
The original story envisioned by director Krish Jagarlamudi, particularly involving the Kohinoor diamond, was modified for the first part and will be explored in the second part of the film.
The film's post-release adjustments to address technical shortcomings, particularly in VFX, is an attempt to increase its appeal.
