The producers of The Raja Saab, People Media Factory (PMF), issued a detailed statement on social media platform X addressing concerns over workers’ pending payments. The banner clarified that it has already disbursed a significant portion of dues and will henceforth pay workers directly into their bank accounts to ensure transparency.
According to the statement, PMF has paid approximately Rs 60 crore over the past 12 months to daily wage workers engaged in below-the-line (BTL) and production activities. In addition, around Rs 1 crore remains pending for schedules worked in July. The note also mentioned that another Rs 30 crore has been spent on monthly contract associates, whose payments are fully up to date. The Rs 60 crore figure, PMF stressed, excludes remunerations of key technicians, artists, vendors, VFX teams, and location expenses.
PMF strongly refuted claims made by certain union representatives. “It is both inaccurate and inappropriate for unrelated individuals or self-proclaimed federation/union leaders to make public statements regarding internal company payments. People Media Factory has no agreements or financial obligations with any federations/unions and consequently holds no dues to them,” the statement read.
The producers acknowledged the limited pending payments for July and announced an exception to their usual policy. “Given the difficulties faced by our workers due to the sudden strike and delay in schedules, we have decided to make the pending payments this week,” PMF said.
To eliminate past malpractices, the production house has adopted a direct-payment policy. “All payments will henceforth be made directly to workers’ bank accounts. No funds will be released to intermediaries under any circumstance,” the note clarified.
Workers with pending dues from the July schedule have been asked to submit their requests along with bank details to their respective Executive Producers by Monday. After verification, payments will be cleared within the same week.
Sharing a payment chart, PMF captioned its post: “People Media Factory has disbursed Rs 60 Cr+ towards daily wage workers in the last 12 months. We stand by every worker and ensure their hard work is rewarded with dignity.”
