Pawan Kalyan to Take Nephew Ram Charan’s Release Slot in March

The makers are planning a summer release and have now zeroed in on March 26 as the release date.

Star actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has wrapped up the shoot of Ustaad Bhagat Singh last year, with the film currently in the final stages of post-production. The makers are planning a summer release and have now zeroed in on March 26 as the release date.

Interestingly, March 26 was earlier locked for Ram Charan’s Peddi. However, with the film now postponed to May, Ustaad Bhagat Singh will take over the March slot. An official announcement from the makers is expected soon. “Pawan Kalyan has taken the place of his nephew in March to keep Mega fans happy, as Peddi is now set to hit the screens in May,” says a distributor.

Earlier, director Harish Shankar at a film event had clarified that Ustaad Bhagat Singh is neither a remake nor a love story. He described the film as a full-fledged mass entertainer aimed at meeting the high expectations of fans and general audiences alike. He also dismissed speculation that Pawan Kalyan was responsible for the prolonged delay in the project, which took nearly five years from announcement to completion.

Praising Pawan Kalyan’s work ethic, Harish Shankar revealed that the actor-turned-politician worked for more than 18 hours a day to complete the shoot in quick time. He admitted that the delay was entirely due to his own indecision, stating that he initially planned a love story, then explored the idea of a remake, before discarding both and finally locking a strong mass script.

Harish Shankar further stated that the shoot could be completed smoothly and ahead of schedule only because of Pawan Kalyan’s support and commitment. He also shared that Pawan Kalyan would attend cabinet meetings in Mangalagiri and then return to Hyderabad to continue shooting late into the night, often without taking any rest.
