Fragile to Fatal: KanKhajura Teaser Unveiled on Sony LIV
A haunting Hindi adaptation of Israeli thriller Magpie, set in the shadowy silence of Goa.
Sony LIV has dropped the chilling teaser for its upcoming psychological thriller KanKhajura, a dark and emotional rollercoaster set in the eerily quiet corners of Goa. Adapted from the acclaimed Israeli series Magpie, this Hindi remake promises a gripping journey into fractured memories, long-buried guilt, and the haunting consequences of betrayal.
Directed by Chandan Arora and produced by Ajay Rai, KanKhajura tells the story of two estranged brothers drawn back together by a tragic past that refuses to stay buried. As they attempt to reconcile, the line between memory and reality begins to blur, turning their inner demons into their deadliest enemies.
Actor Roshan Mathew, who plays Ashu, shares, "What drew me to 'KanKhajura' was its emotional intensity and the stillness beneath the chaos. Ashu is fragile in moments, but there’s a quiet storm within. Every relationship in this story is cracked — and watching how each character confronts those cracks is what makes it powerful."
The series boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Mohit Raina, Sarah Jane Dias, Mahesh Shetty, Ninad Kamat, Trinetra Haldar, Heeba Shah, and Usha Nadkarni. Developed under license from yes Studios, the show has been recreated with an Indian sensibility by creators Adam Bizanski, Omri Shenhar, and Dana Eden, and produced by Donna and Shula Productions.
KanKhajura streams from 30th May, exclusively on Sony LIV — a haunting tale where silence deceives, and survival comes at the cost of confronting the past.
