It’s examination time all over. As students appear for their papers its testing time for platforms too. Accordingly, most of them have kept it low-key this week. Barring a major release here or there, it’s business as usual on the streamers. Let’s have a look.
Netflix
Netflix will have a busy Friday and a crowded Saturday. But before that, the week starts with ‘Unseen’ dropping on the platform on March 29, Wednesday. ‘Unseen’ is a six-episode thriller dealing with the story of a housekeeper who is searching for her husband.
Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston are back as private detectives with a sequel to their 2019 offering, ‘Murder Mystery 2’. Releasing on Thursday, the movie is 150 minutes long.
2007 Cannes best actress winner Jeon Do-yeon stars in ‘Kill Boksoon’, a sleek action-thriller directed by Byun Sung-hyun. It will be released on Friday. On the same day, Anurag Kashyap’s recent movie ‘Almost Pyar with DJ Mohabbat’ will also be released. The movie which had its world premiere at Marrakech Film Festival stars Alaya F among others.
Doppelgangers seem to be the flavour of the season. Going by it, the Telugu movie ‘Amigos’ would be released on Friday. It stars Nandamuri Kalyanram among others. Directed by Rajendra Reddy, it talks of what happens when a man meets his two doppelgangers online.
Saturday will see four releases. An emotional movie with the theme of substance abuse, ‘Four Good Days’, a dark comedy ‘Promising Young Woman’, a war drama ‘Jarhead 3: The Siege’ and ‘Company of Heroes’ is set against the backdrop of World War II.
‘War Sailor’, set against the backdrop of World War II, is a Norwegian drama. It has been described as ominous and violent by the platform.
Disney+ Hotstar
Sara Ali Khan is back after her last release which was in 2021. ‘Gaslight’ which comes across as a thriller going by the teaser, also stars Vikrant Massey and Chitrangada Singh. The movie would be released on March 31, Friday.
Zee5
In the teaser, a kid describes ‘Kacche’ as a word used to describe illegal immigrants. Dealing with the theme is ‘United Kacche’ released on Zee5 on March 31, Friday. It stars Sunil Grover, a Punjabi who goes to England as an illegal immigrant.
Prime Video
The season finale of ‘Happy Family Conditions Apply’ which boasts of a stellar star cast and has received both bouquets and brickbats will be out on Friday, March 31.
