MUMBAI: Prime Video brings to the audience a wide variety of content this week.

Wayne Shorter: Zero Gravity is a three-part documentary that honors the remarkable jazz icon Wayne Shorter. Directed by Dorsay Alavi and with executive production by Brad Pitt and Santana, the film explores various periods of Shorter's life. It includes conversations with people who worked with him, like Herbie Hancock, Joni Mitchell, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Marcus Miller, and Esperanza Spalding. The film stars Jeff Garlin, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and Miles Brown and will premiere on Prime Video on August 25.

Aachar & Co. : Set in 1960s Bangalore, Aachar & Co. centers around civil engineer Madhusudhan Aachar and his wife Savithri’s conventional family, and their lives as they grapple with modernization while upholding their heritage. But when the head of the family, Madhusudhan, unexpectedly passes away, the family is suddenly facing a new reality with shifting dynamics that compel all members to contribute towards household responsibilities.

Against the backdrop of evolving gender roles and societal norms, Aachar & Co. portrays the challenges of raising a large family, managing their well-being, and educating children, among other functions in this heartwarming story. Adeptly delving into the themes of women empowerment, self-reliance, and valuing familial bonds, the movie beautifully evokes a sense of nostalgia and appreciation for one’s cultural roots.

Written and directed by Sindhu Sreenivasa Murthy, the film has been co-written by comedian Kanan Gill and stars Murthy herself alongside Anirudh Acharya, Harshil Koushik and Sudha Belawadi in pivotal roles. The Kannada comedy drama is available to stream on Prime Video.

AP Dhillon: First Of A Kind: It  is produced by PASSION Pictures in association with Wild Sheep Content and Run-Up Records. Helmed by series director Jay Ahmed, this engrossing four-part docuseries explores the life of Amritpal Singh Dhillon, better known internationally as AP Dhillon, the self-made superstar. The documentary sets off on a journey that follows his extraordinary career, starting from the charming village of Gurdaspur in Punjab to the stunning vistas of British Columbia, Canada, with exclusive access. This docuseries based on the global sensation, AP Dhillon is available to stream exclusively on Prime Video.

Zero Gravity is an intimate portrait and cinematic ode to Jazz giant Wayne Shorter's life and music. Depicted in three parts, each representing a different period of Shorter's life and music. Shorter is considered one of the greatest living modern composers and musicians of American music.

Set against the backdrop of 1960s Bangalore, follows the journey of a traditional family as they navigate the challenges of embracing modernization while honoring their cultural roots.


AP Dhillon: First Of A Kind - 18 August
