Indian Police Force, the Amazon Original series which is the next chapter in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, marks his directorial debut in the digital medium. The action-suspense series, co-directed by Sushwanth Prakash, has been created by Rohit and is headlined by Sidharth Malhotra, with Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Vivek Oberoi, Shweta Tiwari, Nikitin Dheer, Rituraj Singh, Mukesh Rishi and Lalit Parimoo in pivotal roles. Rohit, Sidharth, Shilpa and Vivek interacted with the media at the trailer launch of Indian Police Force, which will premier soon.

Indian Police Force will attract audiences world-wide, as they have already watched my films. I have been making golmaal films for five years now. They were all made on a big scale, and I made my first OTT on the same scale. I present it in the way that I present my films. So, wait and watch, guys! You will surely enjoy it.
I don’t think any medium is big or small. I have worked for films, TV and now OTT. I respect all mediums. OTT is no more a new platform. If a new platform comes up, I will happily do something for it too.

‘Was a dream to work with Rohit Shetty’
It was an amazing experience working with Rohit bhai. It’s every actor’s dream to be part of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe and I’ve realised my dream now. Playing Vikram Bakshi was amazing. I have had loads of love for the police force. The image of the good, brave cop who is ready to make sacrifices is a huge contribution from Rohit. When we were growing up, most of the films we watched presented cops in a bad light. He changed this image, and that’s a huge achievement.

I think it all came together for me. The minute they said Tara Shetty is the name of the characters I was hooked, even before the narration. Tara is gritty, bad-ass, compassionate, selfless, passionate about her work. And she is not married. I would call her a Shero.
It was always on my bucket list to play a cop in Rohit’s universe, and it has started off with this part. The wait was worthwhile.
I made my OTT debut in a non-fiction project. This one is fiction. I’m elated that Rohit thought of me to play Tara Shetty. I have given my arm and leg for the part. I loved doing the action scenes. Rohit pushed us to do all the action scenes; we did not use doubles. Because of his conviction that we could do it, we prepped and gave our best. It was a huge opportunity for me and I grabbed it with both hands.
