Gadar 2 initially hit the theaters on August 11, marking its debut as a Hindi period action drama. Since then, it has achieved a significant milestone, raking in an impressive ₹500 crore, establishing itself as one of the most substantial box office successes in the post-Covid-19 era.

The movie boasts a talented cast, including Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra, and Simrat Kaur. On its opening day in theaters, Gadar 2 earned ₹40 crore, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh. This remarkable performance positioned it as the third-highest opener of 2023, trailing behind only Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" and "Jawan."

Gadar 2 is a sequel to the iconic 2001 film. Sunny Deol portrayed Tara, a truck driver, while Ameesha Patel portrayed Sakina in a story set against the backdrop of India's partition in 1947.

To celebrate the movie's enormous success, the makers of Gadar 2 hosted a lavish success party in Mumbai. The event saw the presence of several prominent actors, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Varun Dhawan, Dharmendra, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Shilpa Shetty, and many more.

Reflecting on the film's incredible achievement during a press conference, Sunny Deol expressed his feelings, saying, "I was quite stressed over the period of time, and when this film hit the cinema halls, I don't know why it felt like God came inside me. I was crying and laughing all night and evening. I also met my father (Dharmendra) and said, 'No, I am not drunk, I am happy. What do I do?'"
