No Alia, No Raha: Ranbir Kapoor Finally Reveals Real Meaning of ARKS

Yesterday, a video was posted from the official Instagram handle of Ranbir Kapoor's brand, where he could be seen taking viewers on a mini tour of his factory and answering questions about the ARKS.

During the walkthrough he mentioned that the factory previously belonged to his brother-in-law, Bharat Sahni, who is also one of the manufacturers of their products.

Kapoor also shared the idea behind the name of his brand. He explained, "It just had different meanings to it."

"We started with because we just wanted to come out with the sneakers so it was a Ranbir Kapoor shoe. So there were many different meanings to it like a Ranbir Kapoor studio… Then I guess I came to a point where I said that it doesn't really need a meaning, but I think it just fits. When we heard the name ARKS, when we saw this logo, everything just came together," the actor added.

The 43-year-old actor also revealed that as he is growing older, his desire for materialistic things is growing less, and I'm good to go with a T-shirt, a denim jacket and a nice pair of sneakers and that's where the ARKS come in.

He also hinted at which areas of lifestyle he wants to expand the brand. "The plan is to really expand in different areas of lifestyle, which could be athleisure or underwear. I am also interested in the whole furniture market. So under the umbrella of ARKS, I think we’re really trying to sell a sensibility, an aesthetic. A lifestyle for the consumer," he said.

While talking about fashion, kapoor mentioned, "That fashion, for me, is basically how comfortable you are and, you know, being yourself, and I've always been a T-shirt, jeans, denims, and baseball cap kind of guy."

He further revealed that his all-time fashion icon overseas has been David Beckham, who has inspired so many people with his fashion choices, and in India he was inspired by Amitabnh Bachchan, Saif-Ali-Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and mentioned that they have really great fashion choices.

Last year, Ranbir Kapoor stepped into entrepreneurship with the launch of his brand, ARKS. While taking to Instagram, the official account of ARKS shared a video featuring Kapoor.

In the video, the actor was lying on the grass at night, gazing at stars. After that, he makes a symbol in the air against the sky. The caption of the post read, "Meet the founder. He's not on social media."

On the professional front, for his upcoming project, Kapoor will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love And War, alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. He was last seen in 2023 release 'Animal,' alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Tripti Dimpri, and was directed by Sandep Reddy Vanga.
