Netizens React to Hrithik–NTR Dance Number, Hail Tiger Shroff

So when War 2 teased its first song, Janaabe Ali, the hype was sky-high

War (2019) wasn’t just a movie — it was a cinematic thirst trap. Two sculpted action gods, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, are squaring off in the ultimate cat-and-mouse game.

Then came Jai Jai Shivshankar, a song that was half rivalry, half bromance, and 100% iconic.

So when War 2 teased its first song, Janaabe Ali, the hype was sky-high. On Wednesday, Yash Raj Films dropped a teaser showing Hrithik and Jr NTR locked in a swagger-heavy dance face-off, captioned: “There will be WAR on the dance floor too!” Bold words — and an instant nostalgia trigger.

“This is fire 🔥 but Jai Jai Shiv Shankar was blast 💥,” one fan wrote, kicking off a wave of comparison posts. Many swore the new track’s hook sounded familiar — some likening it to Housefull’s “Aap Ka Kya Hoga” or Himesh Reshammiya’s 2004 “Janabe Ali” from Bardaasht. “Reminds me of that HR song with Riteish,” noted a Redditor.

But the bigger chatter was about chemistry — or the lack of it. “Hrithik and NTR just don’t have the rivalry vibe Tiger and Hrithik had in War,” one user said, a sentiment that quickly snowballed. Another quipped, “Why is there a dance-off? Aren’t they enemies?”

Some were bluntly underwhelmed: “I want it to be good… but everything looks mid and boring.” Another predicted, “Anything this movie earns will be purely on the stardom of its leads. The rest feels non-exciting.”

Still, the loudest refrain? Pure Tiger Shroff withdrawal. Comments ranged from “It can never match Jai Jai Shivshankar 😭” to “Such a drop in music quality” — and the unfiltered: “Missing Tiger Shroff in War 2 badly 🔥.”
