However, the comparison with the Bible has triggered a strong reaction on social media. Several meme pages and regional film handles criticised Nani’s statement, with some describing it as excessive or unnecessary regional pandering. Critics argued that comparing an entire film industry with a sacred text was an avoidable exaggeration.
