Mumbai: Celebrated actor and producer Nagarjuna Akkineni inaugurated the Telangana Pavilion today at the prestigious Bharat Pavilion during the ongoing World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025. The Bharat Pavilion, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, stands as the centerpiece of the summit, spanning an impressive 1,470 square meters under the theme Kala to Code—a tribute to India’s vibrant legacy of creativity, innovation, and storytelling.

The Telangana Pavilion, a major highlight of the Bharat showcase, puts the spotlight on the state’s rapidly growing audio-visual infrastructure and global impact. From the world-renowned Annapurna Studios to Ramoji Film City, Hornbill Studios, and major global players like Warner Bros., the pavilion encapsulates Telangana’s emergence as a powerhouse in film, media, and tech-driven content creation.

Speaking at the event, Nagarjuna said, “It was a huge honour to inaugurate the Telangana Pavilion at WAVES. The state has done tremendously well to put India on the global map. There are companies pioneering tech innovation and artists redefining entertainment as we know it. Our work at Annapurna Studios has also set new benchmarks, and I’m immensely proud of Telangana’s outstanding contributions.”

The Bharat Pavilion offers dedicated State Pavilions where regions like Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Telangana, and Madhya Pradesh proudly present their cultural richness and creative industries to a global audience.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while inaugurating the Bharat Pavilion, remarked, “The Bharat Pavilion at WAVES showcases our cinematic tradition and the opportunities that await in our country. I call upon the world to come to India and explore the creative opportunities here.”
