A quick chat with Harshi, about her favourites:
The one song you have on repeat on your iPod these days: Shape of You and Enna Sona.
Is there a song you love to listen to when: You’re happy and upbeat?
Anything from Tu Mera Hero to Sooraj Dooba Hai and Badri Ki Dulhaniya.
When you’re low? The same songs as I’m happy, to get me out of the low phase.
When you’re working out? My upcoming song, Body Like a Bomba.
Is there any music you used to love as a kid or a teenager that you’re now embarrassed by?
So many! I was quite filmy, and would enact songs like Zara Sa Jhoom Loon Main, Mera Piya Ghar Aaya and Le Gayi Le Gayi.
How would you describe your taste in music?
Quite cheesy. I love nautanki songs. It’s so much fun to sing, and the party songs keep me upbeat.
What’s your favourite time/way of listening to music?
My headphones, since I’m always on the move. I love blasting music in my car and singing my heart out.
If you could have one band in the world/a musician perform a private concert for you, which one/who would it be?
I’m a big fan of the drums, and it would be amazing to do a gig with Sivamani. Doing a gig with A.R. Rahman would be a dream too.
