It is the dawn of the third generation in the Sukumaran household. Grandmother Mallika Sukumaran sang the song Ormayundo in P.P. Govindan’s 1977 film Saritha along with P Jayachandran. Her sons Prithviraj and Indrajith have both crooned for a number of films and now it is the turn of Indrajith’s daughters Praarthana and Nakshatra to turn budding singers.
Father Indrajith and uncle Prithviraj both very proudly announced and shared the news on their social sites. The proud father Indrajith wrote, “Proud to announce that both my daughters Praarthana and Nakshatra are debuting as singers through 'The Great Father.”(sic) The film starring Mammoooty in the lead is produced by August Cinema of which Prithviraj is a partner.
The music of The Great Father is composed by Gopi Sunder who has made a record number of stars sing to his tunes.
