Skyharbor goes live at JTPac
“From a file on a computer sitting in New Delhi, to a full-fledged touring band with members from around the world formed over the internet, Skyharbor have defied convention every step of the way,” here goes the self-attested Facebook biography of Skyharbor, which started as a fledgling studio project towards the 2000s and in the end, rose to the stature of a leading progressive band in the country. Come December, Kochiites can catch them live at JTPac in Tripunithura.
The journey began with Lamb of God drummer Chris Adler choosing Skyharbor to support their world tour performance’s Bengaluru schedule in 2012. Two years down, in 2014, the band got nominated in the Global Metal Category at the prestigious Golden Gods Metal Awards.
Over the years, they toured the world and made their presence felt in Euroblast Festival (Germany), UK Tech Fest, Download Festival (UK), Dissonance Festival (Italy) and Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgium) and so on.
The band’s debut album Blinding White Noise: Illusion and Chaos earned them worldwide acclaim and a huge fan base. It featured ex-Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman, Daniel Tompkins (TesseracT), Vishal J. Singh (Amogh Symphony) and Sunneith Revankar (Bhayanak Maut). The show begins at 7 pm.
