Swara Bhaskar-starrer Anaarkali of Arrah. We chat with Rohit about his musical favourites:

What’s the one song you have on repeat on your iPod these days?
Phir Se Aaiyo Badra Bidesi from Namkeen. I keep listening often out of the beauty of that song.

If you had to put together a soundtrack for your life, name five songs that would feature in it?
O Sajna Barkha Bahaar Aayee by Lata Mangeshkar, Salil Chaudhary, Shailendra-Parakh, Sometimes When We Touch by Dan Hill, Aaye Tum Yaad Mujhe by Kishore Kumar, SD Burman, Yogesh-Mili, Dil Se Re and Maa Tujhe Salaam by AR Rahman, Gulzar and Mehboob, Like A Rolling Stone by Bob Dylan.

Is there a song you love to listen to when:
You’re happy and upbeat: I love to compose when I’m happy
You’re really low: Love Me Tender by Elvis Presley.

Is there any music you used to love as a kid or a teenager that you’re now embarrassed by when you think back?
No. Either I haven’t grown up at all or was always musically mature.

How would you describe your taste in music?
I love almost all genre of music available on earth.

What’s your favourite time of the day to listen to music?
Best time is when I get up in the morning and plug in my earphones.

If you could have one musician perform a private concert for you, who would it be?
Michael Jackson, if he was alive or Zubin Mehta conducting The Rite Of Spring and The Firebird by Igor Stravinsky.

Which is the one live act you would love to see at least once in your life?
A live performance of ballet and orchestral concert of The Rite Of Spring by Igor Stravinsky.
