Hyderabad: South Korean singer Haesoo was found dead in her dormitory last week. It is suspected that the 29-year-old died by suicide as police discovered a note suspected to be written by her.
The Korean singer’s death comes less than a month after K-pop astro member Moonbin took his life at the age of 25.
Haesoo was set to perform at an event on May 20. She was reportedly found dead on May 12 but her demise came to light late after South Korean media outlet Koreaboo reported of receiving calls from organisers stating that Haesoo would not attend the scheduled event as she has passed away. The news came as a shocker to her fans.
Haesoo was a trot singer. Trot is a popular K-pop genre which mainly focuses on repetitive rhythm patterns and vocal modulation. She made her debut in 2019 and her fan base has been increasing ever since the release of her single album, 'My Life I Will'.
She also appeared on South Korean shows, namely, The Trot Show, AM Plaza and Gayo Stage, which made her more popular. Her performance on 'Immortal Song' took the singer’s popularity to great heights.
