5 Weddings actress Saru Maini opens up about her love for music and Laung Gawacha
Saru Maini is an actor-singer, who will now make her debut in a Hollywood film 5 Weddings with Nargis Fakhri and Rajkummar Rao.
The film has even released its first song Laung Gawacha, which is again sung by Saru Maini.
Before an actor, Saru is a singer, who even started her career with singing. When asked her what role does music plays in her life, she said, “I was never shy of the camera or of singing as a child. My parents would ask me to sing whenever their friends were over and I would do it happily; I would stand up on a stool to perform and act out the songs I was singing. Even in school and college, I used to participate in all of the extra-curricular activities and always got accolades for it. My parents, however, wanted me to become an IAS officer but my love and passion for music brought me to Mumbai. I’ve been focusing on voice training and voice culture. I’ve also done a few playback songs with singers including Sonu Nigam and Shaan and several music albums. Music is the love of my life and an integral part of my being.”
5 Weddings is all set to release on 26th October, and will show the audiences Saru Maini’s skills as an actor.
