One song you have on repeat on your iPod these days:
I would say Rabba Meray. It’s a song that I have composed for my upcoming movie Guest Iin London. I connect a lot with the lyrics and hence it’s on repeat.

Can you name three songs that best describe your life? Which would those be and why?
Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji (Ishqiya) because it reminds me that the childlike quality in us never really dies. I also like Alvida (Life in a Metro) because it reminds me that everything in life is temporary. Heal the World by Michael Jackson is another favourite.

Is there a song you love to listen to when:
You’re happy and upbeat: Senorita from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
You’re really low: Wahan Kaun Hai Tera by R.D. Burman. This song always comforts me through my tough times.

How would you describe your taste in music?
I listen to all genres and styles, though I must admit that I am a little inclined towards classical styles of music both Indian and Western. Classic rock and Senegal’s Music forms an integral part of my playlist too.

Favourite time to listen to music:
I listen to music every time I get some time off from my composing schedule.

One band/musician that you want a private concert from:
Shakti, the true masters.

One live act you would love to see at least once in your life:
Pink Floyd. It would be amazing to hear David Gilmour play High Hopes and The Wall live.
