1 Most bizarre pick-up line used by someone on you?
I’ve been proposed to on the Internet. Someone actually sent me a message online saying that they loved my voice and they wanted to marry me!
2 What does music mean to you?
It’s the power to express what everything else can’t say. It allows a person to reach into stranger’s hearts and make them feel beautiful, elated and even understood.
3 If you had to choose one supernatural power or be a super heroine, what would you be?
I’d choose telekinesis and telepathy and be like Jean Grey/Phoenix from
X-Men
4 Million bucks or true love?
This is a no-brainer. True love, any day. I’m a tough cookie on the outside but a total softie, underneath.
5 Most memorable fan moment?
Somebody I look up to a whole lot, Mohan Kannan, recognised me somewhere and said he was a fan of my voice. I was in the most wonderful state of shock for the next 30 minutes.
6 Quirky trait or something about you we don’t know?
I have a little bit of OCD. I count the stairs when I walk up and I even wash my hands twice. I also can’t go to bed when there’s a door or cupboard open
around.
7 One song you’d never delete from your playlist?
Back in Black by AC/DC. It’s my go-to song, and my alarm since I first got a phone. It gets me all pumped up and I can head bang to it early in the morning too!
8 One celebrity you’d like to take out on a date?
Kalki Koechlin. I’d like to pick her brain about life, the universe and everything. I find her fascinating and incredible.
9 If not a singer what would you have been?
I was studying to be a corporate trainer like my dad before I became a full-time musician, so probably that. My back-up career is that of a masseuse because I give some pretty transcendental massages!
10 One fashion trend you don’t understand
I don’t understand fashion at all, it’s a mystery to me. I dress for comfort and to be able to climb over walls with ease.
