The Coldplay craze has gripped India ever since rumours of their upcoming concert started circulating a couple of months ago. Well, it’s official — the band will be performing in Mumbai on November 19! The tickets to the concert have also been a talking point, especially after reports emerged that they would begin selling for a whopping Rs 25,000 to a staggering five lakh rupees.
However, according an official post on the band’s Twitter page, you can actually get tickets to the Coldplay concert for free! 90 per cent of the tickets to the concert have to be earned through a series of socially relevant tasks, as part of the Global Citizen festival. The tasks will be aimed towards betterment of education, equality and sanitisation campaigns and fans will have to download the Global Citizen app, through which they will be notified what these tasks will be.
Starting September 12, each task will earn points, and there will be a lottery for those who have earned a certain number of these points. Those whose luck doesn’t hold the first time can keep gathering points and try again! Global Citizen will reveal what these tasks are, on Monday.
