A musical evening
Get ready to spend an interactive evening with Oorali Express, one of the first travelling artist projects of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, at Njarackal in Kochi this Sunday, March 10 at 7 pm.
The team of artistes is on a journey to the flood affected regions that bore the brunt of the devastating floods that ravaged Kerala. They will be visiting and staying at some of the places worst affected by the calamity - to pay homage to the fisher-folk in their rescue operations.
The 10-member Oorali band featuring vocalists, drummers and instrumentalists have been on their art journey to the coastal areas and remote places as part of an initiative of the Kochi Biennale Foundation in a bid to reach out to the local communities where the news of the art festival has perhaps not reached so far.
Njarackal, amid the marshy Vypeen Islands west of Kochi, marks the end of the second session of the band's journey.
