Her bass as well as her treble was top-notch when she delivered the hit song All About that Bass, but the last few months have not been easy for Meghan Trainor. The singer, who has been maintaining a low profile lately, revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday that she underwent a vocal cord surgery, not long ago.
“I’m trying not to cry. It was tough. I really couldn’t talk since December,” she said, adding, “It was three months of vocal rest and then we decided let’s do the surgery before Ellen. And then, when we recover, it’s going to be tight but you’ll be able to sing on Ellen (sic),” she said, reports JustJared.com.
She thanked her boyfriend Deryl Sabara for being with her through this difficult time. “The real trooper was my boyfriend because he learned sign language for me so I would spell out words for him,” she said.
