Musical play based on Greek tale

Eighteen children selected from different schools will be the performers.

Greek mythological tales of gods, goddesses, heroes and monsters have amused the people over generations. One of those classics is being brought to stage for Malayali audience. Enroute 4skills and Muse – World lets sing is staging the musical play. Eighteen young actors and actresses, selected from different schools, will be the performers. The play, titled ‘I am hope, this is my beginning’, will be staged at Sonooro church hall, Kadavanthra, at 6 P.M. on November 10.

The play that will narrate the tale of two brothers will be accompanied with Greek music. It will be in English language, and will address today’s harsh realities.

It is also an opportunity for children to showcase their talents. The young kids are excited to be part of the play. “It will be an enriching experience for them. By providing such different platforms for children, their talents can be developed,” says Saumya Grace Lobo, trainer and coordinator of Enroute 4skills. She is also the scriptwriter and director of the musical play. “Children grow the way we groom them. There is a difference between the traditional way of learning and giving the children the chance to learn and understand for themselves,” she adds. Saumya has worked with different firms as trainee. Enroute 4skills has conducted many programmes for children, to develop their skills through art, music and literature.

Entry pass for the play costs Rs 800. For more information, contact 9497555985, 8089345295.
